Aloo Kofta Curry-Kofta Curry Recipe In Hindi

Aloo Kofta Curry is a very special type of spicy curry. The tasty Kofta balls dipped in aromatic spicy gravy makes this dish really special. I have prepared it with some special ingredients but in low oil. It goes perfect with Roti,Paratha, Puri. It is an ideal dish for your lunch or dinner.

Ingredients :

FOR KOFTA:-

1. 10 Boiled Potatoes
2. 2 Fried Onions
3. 2 Chopped Green Chillies
4. 2 tblspn Cornflour
5. 1 tspn Chopped Ginger
6. 2 tblspn Grated Khoya Kheer
7. Some Cashew Nuts Powder
8. Some Chopped Raisins
9. 1 tspn Special Masala(Whole Ground Masala+Nutmeg)
10. 1/3 tspn turmeric powder
11. Some Coriander Leaves
12. Salt to taste
13. 1/2 tspn Sugar
14. Oil to Fry

FOR GRAVY:-

1. 2 Bay Leaves

2. 2 Dry Red Chillies

3. 1 tspn Shahi Jeera

4. 2 Finely Chopped Onions

5. 1 tblspn Grated Ginger

6. 1 Chopped Green Chilli

7. 4 Tomatoes+Garlic Paste

8. 1/2 tspn Turmeric Powder

9. 1 tspn Coriander Powder

10. 1 tspn Kashmiri Lal Mirch Powder

11. Some Raisins Paste(Optional)

12. 1 tblspn Khoya Kheer(Optional)

13. 2 tblspn Yogurt

14. 1/2 tspn Garam Masala Powder

15. Coriander Leaves

16. Salt to taste

17. Water as required

18. 1 tblspn Oil

 

: Method :

                       * At first take a pan and take mustard oil in it and leave it to get heated. On the other hand in a bowl take the boiled potatoes and mash them with your hands and then add all the ingredients one by one and mix the whole mixture properly. If you wish you can add a little maida or corn flour in the mixture. Now grease both your hands with a little oil , take a generous portion of the mixture in your hand and give it the round shape of a kofta. Make as much koftas as possible from the entire mixture. Coat all the koftas in cornflour before frying. Now when the oil is hot fry all the koftas properly till they are golden.

                       * When all the koftas are ready we shall start making the gravy. Take some oil, heat it and add bay leaves, dry red chillies and shahi jeera and saute for a while. Then add finely chopped onions and fry for 2 minutes. When the onions get a little brownish add grated ginger and saute for another minute. Then add chopped green chilli and tomato-garlic paste. Add a little salt and mix it well with the gravy. Now cover the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.

                       * After 2-3 minutes unlid the pan , stir the gravy for a while and then add all the powdered masalas one by one. Also add some raisins paste(optional) and give all the things a proper mix.After stirring for a minute add some khoya kheer(optional). Then by lowering the gas flame add the yogurt and stir it well with the masala for 2 minutes. After that add water as required and let it cook by covering the pan for 5-6 minutes. After that when the gravy is well cooked add garam masala and coriander leaves and mix well. Thus the gravy is ready.

                       * Now pour the gravy over the fried koftas placed on a platter. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves to garnish.

                    Here, our Delicious & Spicy Aloo Kofta Curry is ready to serve with roti, chapathi or paratha.
