Recipe Type : Sweets & Dessert

Serving : 2-3 people

Recipe Cuisine : Indian

Author : Sritama

1. 125 gm. Desi Ghee
2. 1.5 Cup Besan
3. 3 tbsp Sooji
4. Chopped Cashews & Almonds
5. 100 gm. Powdered Sugar
6. Homemade Cardamom Powder

At first take desi ghee in a kadai and put the besan in it. Now start to stir it continuously. Besan will absorb the ghee very quickly and will become dry and a lot of lumps will form. Don’t leave it. Continue to stir it. Unless it will burn because besan gets heated very quickly. After stirring for 10 minutes add Sooji(semolina) in it. Keep stirring the besan with sooji for 10 minutes more. Then add some chopped cashews and almonds and keep stirring patiently till the mixture starts to release ghee and become soft and granular.

After stirring for almost 25 minutes take the mixture out on a platter and let it cool for few minutes. After it cools down a bit add powdered sugar in it and mix with the besan with a spoon. After mixing add home made cardamom powder for that amazing flavour. Give it a mix too. Then take a generous portion in your hand and roll it to round shape. Make as many laddus as you can. Now we will let it cool a bit and roll again to give them a perfect round shape. Garnish the laddus with chopped cashews.

Make the festival of light special with this delicious and granular Besan ke laddu.
