Ingredients : 1. 1 Cup/150 gm. Maida 2. 1/2 Cup Wheat Flour(Atta) 3. 1 tsp Sugar 4. Salt to Taste 5. 1/4 tsp Baking Powder 6. 1/4 tsp Baking Soda 7. 3 tbsp Curd 8. 1 tbsp Butter
At first take a large bowl and maida and atta together. We have taken less atta than maida. Now add sugar, salt to taste, baking powder, baking soda, curd and little butter one by one. And now start kneading the mixture to make a soft dough. Make sure that the dough is super soft. We are not using any yeast here. Curd and butter will do the work here. You can use little water while kneading. But it is optional. When the dough is prepared keep it aside for 20 minutes. Let it ferment for a while.
After 20 minutes knead the dough for a while again. Now take a generous portion of dough and let it roll to make naan from it. Just like roti. You can roll the naan in any shape. Now brush little water to the one side of the naan and place it on a heated tawa. Because of brushing of water the naan will stick to the tawa. After a few seconds of roasting flip over the tawa with the naan stuck on it over the burner. Roast the naan evenly over the burner. When the naan is evenly roasted and fluffy take it out from the tawa using a spoon. Take it out on a platter and now we shall brush the naan with melted butter. Make naans from the rest of the dough in the same procedure.
Here our Super Soft & Tasty Butter Naan is ready without oven, yeast or tandoor. And it will stay as soft as it is after even 24 hours.
