1. 8 White Bread Slices
2. Oil to Fry
For Stuffings :
3. 4 Grated Boiled Potatoes
4. 1 Chopped Onion
5. Some Chopped Coriander Leaves
6. 2 Chopped Green Chillies
7. 1 tsp Grated Ginger
7. 1 tsp Lemon Juice
8. 1/2 tsp Carom Seeds(Ajwain)
9. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
10. 1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
For Batter :-
11. 1 Cup Gram Flour(Besan)
12. 1 tbsp Rice Flour
13. 1/3 tsp Carom Seeds(Ajwain)
14. 1/3 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
15. 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
16. 1/3 tsp Black Pepper Powder
17. Salt to Taste
18. Water as Required
: Method :
At first take a large bowl and put all the ingredients required for the stuffings of the Bread Pakoda and mix all of them with spoon or hand. Make a sticky mixture out of it so that we can easily paste it over the bread.
When its done keep the stuffings aside and start making the batter to fry the pakodas. For that take another large bowl and put all the ingredients required for the batter and prepare a semi-thick batter by mixing water as required. The consistency of the batter is crucial.
Now take the bread slices and cut the sides of some of them. You can spread the stuffings over them directly or you can place a layer of tomato ketchup under the stuffings. It’s your choice. Spread the stuffings over the bread slice evenly by pressing with a spoon & then place another bread slice over it to make sandwich. Make sandwiches from all the bread slices.
Now heat oil in a pan. Don’t over heat it. Now coat the sandwiches in the batter that we had prepared and put them in the oil to fry. We shall fry it till it is golden brown. Make sure that all the sides of the sandwich is evenly fried. When done take it out on a tissue paper. Fry all the sandwiches in the same way.
