Today I have brought for you creamy and delicious Malai Kofta. This is not the regular Malai Kofta that you have tasted before. I have prepared it in a unique way so that you get a completely new taste. Soft and savouring kofta dipped in rich and super tasty gravy makes this dish very special. Ingredients :

FOR KOFTA:-

1. 200gm Chhena(Cheese Curd)
2. 1 Large Boiled Potato
3. Grated Ginger+Green Chillies
4. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
5. Salt to Taste
6. 1/2 tsp Sugar
7. 1 tbsp Rice Flour
8. 1 tbsp Corn Flour
9. 1 tsp Special Masala(Cumin Seeds+Coriander Seeds+Whole Ground Masala+Nutmeg)
10. Oil to Fry

11. Raisins as Stuffings

FOR GRAVY:-

1. 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

2. Whole Ground Spices

3. Paste of 2 Onions+10-12 Garlic Cloves+1″ Ginger

4. Puree of 2 Tomatoes

5. 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder

6. 1 tsp Coriander Powder

7. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder

8. Cashew Nuts Paste

9. 2 tbsp Curd

10. 1 tsp Special Masala

11. 3-4 Slit Green Chillies

12. 1/3 tsp Garam Masala Powder

13. 1 tbsp Fresh Cream

14. Coriander Leaves

15. Salt to taste

16. Water as required

17. 2 tbsp Oil

 

: Method :

* At first take a large bowl and mix all the ingredients together to make a slightly tight dough. You can increase the amount of corn flour as required. While making the dough heat oil in a pan. When the dough is ready take a generous portion of the it, roll it round, then make it a bit flat and put 1-2 raisins as stuffings. Now after putting the stuffings make round kofta balls with the help of your hand. Make 5-6 kofta balls from the dough and coat all of them in little corn flour. Now put all the kofta balls in hot oil and fry them till they are light golden.

                       * When all the koftas are ready we shall start making the gravy. Take some oil, heat it and add cumin seeds, whole ground spices and saute for a while. Then add paste of onion, garlic & ginger and fry for 2 minutes. When the mixture get a little brownish add tomato puree and saute for a while. Then add all the powdered masalas and salt to taste and mix them. Now we shall add cashew nuts paste and curd to make the gravy creamy. After a while add both of them in low flame. Then add special masala that we had used while making the kofta and slit green chillies. Mix them well and add water as required. Then cover the pan for 5-6 minutes till oil comes over the gravy. Now add garam masala powder, chopped coriander leaves and fresh cream and mix all the things properly. Now we shall put all the fried kofta balls in the gravy and carefully dip them in the gravy. Ultimately it is ready and we shall serve it. We’ll serve it in a serving tray with some fresh cream and coriander leaves over it.

                    Here, our Delicious & Spicy Malai Kofta is ready to serve with Pulao, Rice or Paratha. Enjoy this amazing dish this festive season.
