You must have tasted the traditional Mix Veg Sabzi. But today I am going to try a completely new version of Mix Veg i.e. Mix Veg in Chinese Gravy. You can call it Chilli Veg too. Ingredients: 1. Oil to Fry 2. 1 Diced Potato 3. 1 Sliced Carrot 4. Some Cauliflower Florets 5. Some Beans 6. 1 Sliced Capsicum 7. 1/2 tsp Jeera 8. 2 Chopped Onion 9. Some Chopped Cabbage 10. 1 tsp Grated Garlic 11. 1 tsp Grated Ginger 12. 2 Chopped Green Chillies 13. Onion Petals 14. Salt to Taste 15. 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder 16. 1 tsp Soya Sauce 17. 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup 18. 1 tsp Green Chilli Sauce 19. 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder 20. 1/2 Cup Water 21. Cornflour Mixture
At first take sufficient oil to fry the veggies. When the oil is heated release potato, carrot and cauliflower in it. After a while add beans and capsicum in it. Fry all the veggies till they are semi-crispy. When done take all the veggies on a tissue paper and keep aside.
Now take some oil in another kadai and at first add some jeera, chopped onion and some chopped cabbage and saute for a while. Then add grated garlic and ginger and green chillies and fry them too. Then add some onion petals and salt to taste and fry for a minute. After that add some kashmiri red chilli powder for colour. Now we shall all the sauces one by one. Add soya sauce, tomato ketchup and green chilli sauce. Also add some black pepper powder and mix. Now we shall add water as required to adjust the consistency of the gravy. After that add all the fried vegetables and mix very well with the gravy. In the end to thicken the gravy add some cornflour mixture in it. Cook for a while and here our Mix Veg in Chinese Gravy is ready to serve hot.
