1. 300 gm All Purpose Flour(Maida)
2. 1 tsp Salt
3. 2 tbsp Oil
4. Milk as required
5. Some Salt Water
: Method :
* At first take all purpose flour in a large bowl and add salt and oil into it. Mix them a bit and then add slightly lukewarm milk in the flour as required and start to knead the dough. We need to knead the dough for at least 10 minutes to make it soft. We need super soft dough to prepare the perfect Rumali Roti.
* After 10 minutes when our dough is ready take a generous portion of it and start flatten it. We need a bigger surface to flatten rumali roti as they are quite large in size. So, flatten the dough piece with roller. Make sure that the size of the roti is big and it’s edge is thin. Otherwise the roti won’t be like a “Rumal”(Handkerchief). But we can’t roast the roti on a tawa at home. Because we normally don’t have such large tawas at home. So now place a large kadai upside down on a gas burner. Let it heat and then sprinkle little salt water on it so that the rotis don’t stick onto it. Now place the roti on the back side of the kadai. Let it roast for few seconds and then flip it to roast the other side. When the roti is properly roasted take it out carefully and fold it like a “Rumal”(Handkerchief).
Serve the Rumali Roti with Dal Makhani or any spicy Paneer dish & enjoy the taste of Dhaba at the comfort of your home.
