1. 1.5 Cup Sabudana(Tapioca)
2. 2 tbsp Refined Oil
3. Some Moongphali(Peanuts)
4. 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
5. 1 tsp Grated Ginger
6. 4 Chopped & Slit Green Chillies
7. 2 Boiled & Diced Potatoes
8. 1 Chopped Tomato
9. Rock Salt(Sendha Namak)
10. Some Lemon Juice
11. Fresh Coriander Leaves
At first wash the sabudana with water and then keep for soaking in the same amount of water for 5-6 hours. This process is crucial for making the perfect & fluffy Sabudana Khichdi.
After 5-6 hours fry some peanuts lightly in oil. Then in the same oil add cumin seeds, grated ginger and chopped green chillies. Saute them a bit and then add boiled and diced potatoes and fry for some time. Then add chopped tomatoes and cook till the tomato softens a bit. The add the soakeed sabudana and mix it well with the masalas. After that add some rock salt to taste. Mix well. Continue stirring it. In the end add some lemon juice and some coriander leaves for a fresh flavour. Now keep the khichdi covered for few minutes so that all the flavours mingle with the sabudanas.
