1. 300 gm. Paneer
2. 3-4 tbsp Oil
3. 1/2 tsp Jeera
4. Some Whole Spices
5. 3 Bay Leaves
6. 2 tbsp Paste of Ginger-Garlic-Green Chillies
7. Paste of 2 Onions
8. 1/3 tsp Turmeric Powder
9. Paste of 4 Tomatoes
10. 2-3 tbsp Cashew Paste
11. Salt to Taste
12. 1 tsp Coriander Powder
13. 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
14. 2 tbsp Curd
15. Chopped Coriander Leaves
16. Some Butter
17. 2 tbsp Fresh Cream
18. 1 tbsp Sugar
19. 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
20. Some Kasuri Methi

At first take some oil in a pan and heat it. Then saute some jeera, whole spices and bay leaves in oil for a while. Then add paste of ginger-garlic-green chillies and saute again for a while. After that add onion paste and some turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes. Then add tomato paste and cashew paste and mix well. This cashew paste is a must in shahi paneer. You can see here, I am using paste of the previously added ingredients to make the gravy silky smooth. After a while add salt to taste and all the powdered masalas and mix. Cook it for a while by covering the pan. After few minutes add little water and then some curd and mix again. Then add some chopped coriander leaves and cook the gravy again by covering the pan.

Now we shall prepare the paneer cubes. Take a fry pan and heat some butter. Then add a pinch of turmeric powder and red chilli powder into it and then fry all the paneer cubes in it lightly. When done add all the fried paneer cubes in the gravy and mix well. Then add fresh cream to make the gravy more creamy. At last add sugar, garam masala powder and kasuri methi and mix finally.

Here our super delicious and silky smooth Shahi Paneer is ready to serve hot with roti, paratha, naan or kulcha.
