1. 5 Potatoes
2. 3-4 tbsp Oil
3. 1 tsp Til(Sesame Seeds)
4. 1/3 tsp Ajwain(Carom Seeds)
5. 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
6. 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
7. 1/2 tsp Hing(Asafoetida)
8. 1 tbsp Special Masala
9. 1 tsp Posto(Poppy Seeds)
10. 1/2 tsp Amchur Powder
11. Salt to Taste


At first cut all the potatoes in thin slices just like chips. And then dip into water and wash well to remove starch. Now heat some oil in a pan and shallow fry the potato slices. Fry them by occasionally covering the pan till they are golden brown and crispy. Now take them out on a tissue paper to get rid of the extra oil.

Now in the same oil add some sesame seeds and some ajwain(carom seeds) and saute lightly. Then one by one add rest of the ingredients mentioned above and saute well. The special masala is made of roasted cumin seeds and coriander seeds. The hing will add amazing flavour to this unique snacks. Now when all the masalas are ready, add the fried potato slices and mix well with the masalas. The awesomeness of this dish lies in this proper mixing. In the end add some chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot on a serving platter.

Here our unique and Spicy Kadai Aloo is ready to serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
