1. 2 Cups of Grated Cabbage
2. Salt to Taste
3. 1 tsp Coriander Powder
4. 1.5 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
5. 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
6. Half Chopped Carrot
7. 2 tbsp Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste
8. 4 tbsp Maida
9. 4 tbsp Cornflour
10. Oil to Fry
11. 1 tbsp Grated Garlic
12. White Part of Spring Onion
13. 1 Chopped Onion
14. Sliced Capsicum
15. Sliced Tomato
16. 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
17. 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
18. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
19. 1 tsp Green Chilli Sauce
20. 2 Slit Green Chillies
21. 1 tbsp Schezwan Chutney
22. Water as Required
23. 3-4 tbsp Cornflour Mixture
24. Green Part of Spring Onion


At first we will make the manchurian balls. Take a large bowl and in the grated cabbage add salt and some powdered masalas and then add carrot, ginger-garlic-chiili paste, maida and cornflour for binding. Mix all the together to make a dough like thing and make medium sized manchurian balls and fry them till golden in sufficient oil. When done take them out on a tissue paper.

Now to make the gravy add chopped garlic, spring onion, chopped onion and fry for few minutes. Now add sliced capsicum and tomato and saute for a while. Then add soya sauce, tomato ketchup, some red chilli powder, salt to taste, green chilli sauce, schezwan chutney and slit green chillies and stir fry for a while. The add water as required and then add the thickening agent, cornflour mixture. Mix and then add the fried manchurian balls and mix well with the gravy. Let it cook for a minute and finish it off by spreading some chopped spring onion over it.

Serve it with fried rice or chowmein. Enjoy…
