1. 400 gm sooji / rava (semolina)
2. 100 all purpose flour
3. 100 gm oil
4. 1 tblspn kasuri methi (fenugreek leaves)
5. 1 tspn carom seeds(ajwain)
6. 1 tspn caraway seeds(kalonji)
7. 1/2 tspn black pepper powder
8. oil to fry
9. salt to taste / 1 tspn
10. water as required(1/2 cup)
Take a bowl give all the ingredients & mix it well.Now give water gradually as required & make a little tight dough.Cover it for rest the dough for 15 minutes.
Open it and again mix it.Take a small portion of the dough and give a round shape.Then flatten it like a biscuit.Or,you can flatten it like a small puri.
Or,take a big portion of the dough & flatten it.Then cut the dough in round shape with the help of cutter or an opener of a container.You can mix with dough the remaining part of the dough.
Now Turn on the gas and take a pan on it.Heat the pan for a minute on medium flame.Give oil in it and heat the oil enough to fry the mathri.Now give the mathri one by one and fry them until golden brown from both sides.Take them out from the pan and keep it on a tissue paper.
