INGREDIENTS :
150 gm. Imli(Tamarind)
100 gm.(1/2 cup) Jaggery
3-4 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1/3 tsp Black Salt
1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
Salt to Taste

Method
At first take a large bowl and prepare the tamarind pulp by soaking it in water for a while. After that strain the pulp so that we get a smooth extract. Now transfer the pulp to a kadhai and add jaggery and sugar to it. We are using both here as it is a sweet & sour chutney. Now cook the mixture in medium flame till it becomes thick. In the midway add all the powdered masalas and salt to taste and mix properly. These masalas will add spicy flavours to the chutney. Now dry roast some melon seeds on the other burner and add it to the mixture. Give a proper mix and check for the correct consistency of the chutney.When done switch off the gas and take it out on a bowl.
