1. One Beetroot(Chakunder)
2. One Carrot
3. 3 Potatoes
4. 2 tbsp Oil
5. Some Peanuts(Moongphali)
6. 3 Dry Red Chillies
7. 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
8. 1.5 tbsp Ginger-Garlic-Green Chillies Paste
9. Little Turmeric Powder
10. Special Dry Roasted Masala
11. Salt to Taste
12. 1/2 tsp Amchur Powder
13. 1/2 tsp Sugar
14. 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
15. Coriander Leaves
16. 2-3 tbsp Cornflour
17. 2 tbsp Maida
18. Oil to Fry


At first cut the beetroot & carrot in small pieces and keep the potatoes as whole. Now boil all of them in pressure cooker for some time. After that peel off the potatoes and smash it first and then smash beetroot and carrot with it.

Heat some oil in a pan and fry some peanuts and some dry red chiilies and keep them aside for later use. Also dry roast some whole spices in a tadka bowl and then grind them in mixer. After that add cumin seeds and ginger-garlic-green chillies paste and saute for a while by adding a little turmeric powder. Now add the vegetable paste in it and mix it well with the masalas. This will kill the moisture in the mixture. Then add the special dry roasted masala, salt to taste, dry mango powder and some sugar(optional) and mix well. Cook the mixture for few minutes. In the end add some garam masala powder and take the mixture out from the pan and keep it to cool off in a bowl.

After few minutes add the fried peanuts and crushed fried red chillies. This will add some crunch in the chop. Mix well with some coriander leaves. Now grease your hands with some oil and make cylindrical shaped cutlets/chops from that mixture. Now take some cornflour-maida mixture and bread crumb for coating. Double coat all the cutlets in the cornflour mixture and then in the bread crumb. At this point you can keep the cutlet patties in the refrigerator for best result. Then heat sufficient oil in a kadai and fry all the cutlets in it till they are golden and crispy from all sides.

When done serve the crispy and tasty cutlets/chops with some ketchup and salad. Your special evening treat is ready.
